Transport details

You will need to indicate how your RYLArian will join the RYLA program and travel home using the logistics form.

NOTE: there has been significant changes to transport arrangements from previous years – please read this information carefully.

All RYLArains must be dropped off at a bus stop or station on Sunday and not on site. No cars of RYLArians are allowed on site for any reason. RYLA begins on the bus/train. It is necessary for the sponsoring club to nominate the appropriate stop/station to which the RYLArian will be taken and to advise us how they will travel home.

Travelling home on Saturday

There are two options for returning RYLA participants home. Our preferred option is that you come to the venue, have some afternoon tea, participate in the closing ceremony and drive your RYLA participant home.

For clubs north of Seymour, we also offer a return transfer to Seymour Railway Station for your RYLA participant to catch the train home. This option is at an additional fee.

Doxa Youth Foundation Malmsbury Camp

1000 Vaughan Springs Road, Drummond North VIC 3446

RYLArian pick-up is from 3pm on Saturday, for afternoon tea and presentations. Expect to be on site with the RYLArians for at least 1 hour. We will not be ready to welcome Rotarians before 3pm as the RYLA program will still be in progress.

The venue is signed at the entrance and on route (look for the blue Doxa road signs). Keep an eye out for the big orange suspended ball as you head over the Loddon River and up the hill on Vaughan Springs Road. Note that Google Maps and other GPS systems are not too accurate in this area, so keep your eyes open!

Bus transfer to Seymour Railway Station

For clubs north of Seymour we offer a bus transfer to Seymour Railway Station to enable RYLA participants to catch the V/Line train home.

Please note that this is not our preferred method of transport home as you do not get to participate in the closing ceremony and the outcomes of introducing young people to Rotary are greatly diminished. There is an additional fee of $150 per participant using this service.

The bus will depart the venue at approximately 5pm on Saturday and travel to Seymour Railway Station. This will enable participants travelling on the Albury line to catch the 19:21 service, and participants travelling on the Shepparton line to catch the 19:56 service. Arrival times can be found on the V/Line timetable.

It is the club’s responsibility to ensure somebody is waiting for the RYLA participants at their local station to transport them home. RYLA supporters will not travel on this service with RYLA participants.
